On a shirt or lightweight jacket its usually placed on the opposite side to the bow arm, so it does not get covered by a chest guard or affect the path of the string. |
The club has commissioned a custom club shirt from Lionhart shirts a UK design company specialising in Archery shirts.
Shirts are made from Coolmax 165g waffle texture material, a sublimated polyester which is breathable, and has integrated V Mesh panels in the side to maximise ventilation. The collar style has been specifically developed for archers and provides protection from the sun but does not interfere with anchor or release.
Shirts are available in all sizes from children to very large adults, and custom sizes may be possible. The shirts are 40mm longer than the average shirt, as we shoot with our arms raised. Shirts are UNISEX but supplied in three fitting styles, STRAIGHT (Larger body type), HALF-TIGHT (athletic body type) or TIGHT ( with defined waist line, suitable for ladies).
The shirts cost £30 each (regardless of size) plus uk postage at cost. Minimum order is usually 10 shirts. However fewer can be ordered either by the payment of an additional £30 to cover international shipping (from China) or if time is not critical the order can be merged with orders from other clubs to avoid the extra charge. So if new members join they can still order the shirts.
