It is with deep regret and sadness that for the first time in the club’s history, we must announce the cancellation of the Crystal Palace Bowmen 51st Open Tournament. Due to two consecutive wet winters and a wet summer, our field has been flooded since the beginning of December with large areas still under water.
We understand the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause to all of you who have been preparing for this event, but sadly we are unable to control the weather, and the decision is beyond our control.
Our landlord’s groundsmen have worked tirelessly to try and help the field to drain, but this is a long process and will take time. Works will be carried out throughout 2025 to ensure that we do not find ourselves in this situation again in the future.
All entries through the Sport:80 platform will be refunded in full (including the transaction fees).
We share in your disappointment / frustration and would like to thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back onto a DRY field in 2026….
