Crystal Palace Bowmen

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Archery is one of the listed activities in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Physical section. The duration of this activity can be from 3 months minimum to 18 months maximum depending on the level of the award and previous achievements, but the ‘candidate’ must participate regularly in archery and this will include shooting and helping in the club by setting up etc.

Participants will set their own goals relevant to their previous experience in archery (if any). This is done by talking through their aims with one of the club coaches. They can set whatever goals work for them.

This might include achieving a certain score improvement, gaining a 252 badge, shooting in a tournament and so on.

Club equipment may be borrowed if required.

Full details of the scheme be found on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award website or contact the club on webmaster@crystalpalacebowmen.org.
